Knabe Grand Pianos

Every Knabe Grand Piano, no matter the size, is designed and hand crafted to meet the most demanding concert performance standards of sound and touch.
Sound – All spruce tonewood soundboard, maple/beech bridge, Roslau – German strings, re-inforced hammers, full sostenuto (una corda) middle pedal and duplex scaling (except model WG49). These details might seem a little mysterious, but these are technical piano features that build upon each other to produce the powerful tonality of a Knabe Grand Piano.
Touch – Each of the 88 keys on a Knabe Grand Piano are individually balanced by hand to produce a concert-standard feel and fingertip control. The key and mechanical hammer action are hand assembled with wood components; synthetic parts are not allowed. The result is a keyboard that enables piano players from beginner to professional to have complete control of expression and tonality, with no speed limit imposed on the execution of a piano performance.
Value – You will discover that Knabe Grand Pianos, when compared to the price of other similar pianos, is the most affordable grand piano. The Knabe Piano is not promoted and advertised in the mass market media. Knabe Piano prices do not include these promotional expenses. In other words, the same musical qualities found in celebrity pianos are also found in a Knabe Grand Piano at a “best value” price.
