The Las Vegas Piano Music School (LVPMS) was instituted in 2015. The school, faculty and curriculum are directed by Ms. Sally Wang and Mr. Long Ma. Both are graduates of the Eastman School of Music with advanced degrees in piano performance. They have won a variety of piano competitions around the world and now adjudicate many prestigious piano competitions locally and at the Nevada State levels. Both are instructors at the LVPMS.
The LVPMS faculty is multi-lingual: English, Chinese, Spanish.
All LVPMS Faculty Members have earned music degrees specific to their areas of instruction.
LVPMS enrollments include students of all ages and performance skill levels: from beginners as young as three years old to young adults who are advancing their skills to qualify for entrance into college and university music programs*. Student performance opportunities in a variety of venues include solo recitals and master classes that are conducted by tenured music professors from schools including the University of Toronto, Texas State University, etc.
Adult students, as beginners or those who return to their previous musical endeavors enjoy the social and wellness benefits to be gained from their music lesson experiences at LVPMS. Our piano school facility includes ten teaching studios, each furnished with a professional quality grand or upright piano.
The Nevada Piano Store is located in LVPMS and offers a qualified selection of pianos, all priced for the convenience and value for our student families.
The LVPMS faculty is dedicated to assure that LVPMS students ENJOY learning to play the piano and other instruments while advancing their performance skills, an experience that will last a lifetime. LVPMS provides all students with the opportunities to participate in semi-annual recitals, piano competitions and master classes conducted by university professors. Many LVPMS students have won top honors in the Music Teacher National Association competitions at the local, state, national and international levels.
* Advanced piano students, under the tutelage of Mr. Long Ma, (MM Eastman SOM) study a classical performance repertory along with the pianistic skills that lead to the levels of solo artist and collaborative musician. His piano students have opportunities to explore traditional works of early keyboard music, contemporary, and experimental literature.
